Hello

I track cash by making up a symbol called "money.to". I assign a value of one dollar to that symbol and then enter transactions for cash using it. It has always worked well. In my last update, I noticed that the COST BASIS for "money.to" is correct for Canadian currency (which i operate in) but wildly incorrect for US. This is causing PS to have problems when it does a refresh. Where should i be looking to see why the US dollar amount for the cost basis is in error ( for example $31,982 CDN converts to $40,078,053 US Dollars)This problem only occurs for this symbol and only for the cost basis. The actual value of the symbol is correct and converts correctly between currencies. The cost basis for all other symbols convert between currencies correctly. (even other symbols i made up to deal with GICs etc)

Thank you.

From OXY: "You will receive 1/8th of a warrant for every share of common stock of which you are the record holder as of July 6, 2020." They will expire in 2027.

Any suggestions on how I should enter these?

About 30% of my portfolio is in bonds. They typically pay interest twice a year.
If I enter these interest payments with a INT transaction type, they will go to cash.
But I don't see them separately in the Holdings worksheet - which is what I would like to have.
I can enter them as DIVTA and then they show up together with the other dividend payments in the Dividends column.
I really would like to see Bond Interest separately from the dividends in the Holdings worksheet so I can see the combined returns of Cap Gain and Interest paid.
Is there an easy way to accomplish this?

Currently, PS suggests the rebalance based on the current account status, but I would like to know how to rebalance when I want to invest say $1000.

My current workaround has been to add cash to an account and then refresh the workbook to learn the suggested rebalance. Is there a better way perhaps? This is an attempt to reduce "SELL" transactions, as my brokerage allows buying ETFs for free

Hi Vidas,
First of all, I am using PS v2.4 and I would like to express my thanks for your hard work in developing this amazing application. I am a dividend growth portfolio convert and Portfolio Slicer does a beautiful job of presenting portfolio performance data in a useful way. I started building my portfolio in April 2016 and I am really happy with the level of analysis that I can have with Portfolio Slicer. It truly should be in the toolbox of any self-managing investor.

I am looking to get some additional data for my holdings (symbols) and I was wondering what you would recommend for an approach to have Annual Dividends, TTM Earnings, TTM Payout Ratio, and TTM P/E Ratio available in the data set? I would not need to automatically track these parameters but would be prepared to manually maintain them in say the "Symbols" table. Any suggestions or help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Totopops

Hi Vidas,

This note refers to your "Online Demo" example (see pic).

If you ever find some "extra time", could you add example entries to the "scrTrans" worksheet for the purchase of a Fixed Income Asset such as an Annuity or a GIC from a bank.
For example: In a separate PS Account, Buy a GIC for $1,000 and one year later the GIC generates a Dividend of $200.
(I'm still using Excel 2010, and I think this entry type will also require the use of the a fixed price entry generated in the "GeneratedQuotes" section within the psConfig.txt script file).

Many thanks in advance.
Buddyb

(I cannot tell you how much your PortfolioSlicer project is helping me with my financial activities. Keep up with your sterling and valuable efforts).
