PowerPivot>Trans>Date format
I have a perplexing problem with the date format on my srcTrans table in Excel not matching the 'Trans' page in PowerPivot.
The date format on my srcTrans table is "12-May-2016" (dd-mmm-yyyy). But the PowerPivot 'Trans' page reads the data in the format 'mmm-dd-yyyy' and it changes to "05-Dec-2016", which of course has not been yet so the transaction does not show.
I assume this is to do with the date format being pulled from Yahoo (perhaps US format) not matching my srcTrans table, but do you know how I can resolve the issue?

Go to "Control Panel" and then chose "Region" or "Region and Language" (Depending on Windows version), you should be able to change "short date" format to what you want.
Then close Excel workbook, open it, do refresh and see if that helps
