Display name of comparing index below chart ... how can this be achieved?

Vidas,

I successfully one index for comparison purposes to the toll. However, instead of showing me the name of the index, the legend below the chart shows "Index 1 %". How can this be changed in a way that the real name of index will be shown, e.g. DJIA.

Your support is highly appreciated.

Thank you, rgds.

  • What Excel version are you using?
  • The most current one within Office 365.
  • Select chart and make sure that on the right you see "PivotChart Fields" (if no, right mouse click and choose "Show Field List"). In the bottom right under values select value that you want to change for, for example "Index 1 %" and then select arrow down on the right, then select "Value Field Setting" and then enter your name in 'Custom Name" area and hit "OK".
  • Fantastic, that worked ... thank you so much.
