Report Currency Not Connected to Value Change Table on Daily Tab (Reports Excel File)

Vidas, I am using v3.1 of the Reports excel file and noticed that the Report Currency slicer is not connected to the Daily pivot table at the bottom of the Daily sheet (the one that lists all of your holding). By default the pivot table uses the original currency so if you have multiple currencies (ex. CAD and USD), the totals are meaningless.

Wondering if this is by design or it was an oversight. I have connected the slicer to the pivot table in my version as this is what I want to see. Wanted to let you know. Mark

  • Hi,

Sorry for the late reply, but I just came back from longer vacation.

Can you please confirm about report you are talking. On daily worksheet there is just one pivot table with daily value changes (columns: Date, StartValue, ValueChange, EndValue, ValueChange%, ExchRateImpact) and 2 pivot charts. Bottom right pivot charge that shows Exchange Rate, last 30 days is not connected to Report currency by design. Other pivot chart and the single Pivot table are connected to slicers - I confirmed that.
  • Hi Vidas, I too just returned from vacation and saw your reply.

The pivot table I was referring to is a the bottom of the sheet and it titled "Last 12 day value changes by symbol". The workbook I am using did not have this table attached to the Report Currency Slicer (unless I had done something to inadvertently remove the connection).
  • In the Daily worksheet I just confirmed that "ReportCurrency" slicer is connected to daily movement pivot.
