User Created Data Files

I have non-symbol mutual funds that I track. I've reviewed the .txt files created by the script and noticed they're all in descending order but the most recent dates are not at the top. Instead, at the bottom of the file are entries for the most current two to three days. What is the significance of this? In my user created data files I maintain the formatting for the content of the file and maintain the _Symbol_.txt naming convention. I don't appear to be having any issues with my user created data but wondering if I need to place the most current dates as entries at the bottom and if so how may entries?

Thanks

  • Order of data records in external files are not important at all. You see this order because you run initial data extract and naturally data comes in ordered by date. Later new data is added to the end of the file.
  • Good to know. Thank you.
