I just upgraded to Excel 2016 and the version of Office does not have Power Pivot for excel. Can I run Portfolio Slicer with Power Pivot or do I need to update to another version of Office?
Most Excel 2013/2016 users have version of Office that does not have PowerPivot, but they can still use Portfolio Slicer without problems - they just have to use default location for external data files (to change location you need add-in enabled). More info: http://www.portfolioslicer.com/docs/excel2013-powerpivot.html Note - there is currently bug in Excel 2016 that will make appear that Excel is "Not responding" during refresh and refresh will take much longer than normal. To solve you have 2 options: 1. Install just Excel 2016 from original download/disk and do not apply any updates (bug is in one of the later updates). 2. Wait till June, when Microsoft will release fix.
